Last year when I was in Nepal, I bought a cheap jacket and never took it off, except to go to bed.  It seems like I'll need another layer this year too, even though I'm arriving a month later than usual.  It's been a busy last five days.  No cheap flights out of Jodhpur, so I took the overnight train to Delhi.  That would have been fine, except that the person who got my ticket for me bought it for the wrong day, so I had no seat or bunk, and had to buy a ticket on board, plus pay a fine, and get shuffled around as legit ticket holders bo

There is only one flight between Jodhpur and Delhi each day, and the cheap seats were sold out, so that unfortunately means a 14 hour train ride, where the good seats were sold out as well.  I'm thinking of taking one of my silver bullets (an OTC Ambien sleeping pill, EVERY drug seems to be OTC here) for the trip, but I keep thinking about the gringo kids in Guatemala.  If they were facing an painfully long bus ride, they'd go down to the nearest pharmacy to buy whatever would knock them out for 12 to 16 hours, then wake up with no belong

More busy days.  Yesterday was a 5 a.m. start to take the train to Delhi.  I never did find my seat number on the train, but it didn't matter.
